The bay is glass first thing and chops up when the wind comes round the headland, which it does most days between ten and noon. Six boards, and somebody goes out with you the first time.
Everything is at the hut at the bottom of the steps.

The road north is flat for six miles and then it is not.
Twelve bikes at the beach hut, eight with a motor and four without. The coast road runs north along the water to the harbor town, and the only hill is the last mile into it, which is the reason to take the motor.

On the water
Two that are arranged at the beach hut.
Both go out with somebody who knows the water, and both are arranged on the morning rather than booked ahead, because whether they go at all depends on what the sea is doing at nine.

Everything is at the hut at the bottom of the steps.
Open from eight until six, later in July and August. Bikes and daypacks go out from the rack; the boards and the kayaks are arranged with whoever is on the counter that morning.
