Where to go
North is flat for six miles. South has the hill.
Turn left out of the gate and the coast road runs nine miles to the harbor town, flat almost the whole way, with three places to stop and a lighthouse at the end of it. That is the ride most people do, and it is about two hours with a coffee.
Turn right and there is a mile of climbing before the road drops onto the far beach. It is the harder half hour on the property and the only place you get the whole bay in one view.

The practical part
Sizes and child seats
Six frame sizes from extra small to extra large, and three bikes take a child seat. Two tag-alongs for older children. Say what you need when you reserve and the hut has it out.
The deposit
$100 a bike, held on a card at the hut and released when it comes back. Nothing is taken when you reserve.
If something goes wrong out there
The number on the frame reaches the hut directly. Somebody comes out with a van, anywhere on the coast road, and there is nothing to pay for it.
Canceling
Cancel any time before pickup with nothing to pay. If it is raining hard the hut will call you rather than wait.
